Contact Consumer Protection

The Consumer Fraud Unit’s primary focus is on the prevention of deception and misrepresentations in connection with the advertisement and sale of goods and services to individual and business consumers in Colorado. This is accomplished through the enforcement of the Colorado Consumer Protection Act (CCPA), the Colorado Charitable Solicitations Act, along with other consumer protection statutes.

The Attorney General represents the State of Colorado and investigates complaints alleging a pattern of unlawful and deceptive trade practices.  Consumers who believe they have fallen victim to a scam or who would like to report fraudulent activity may do so by Filing a Consumer Complaint or at www.coloradoattorneygeneral.gov/complaint
