Refresher academies are available to satisfy training requirements for those:
- Holding a current Conditional Certification who have not satisfied employment requirements
- Out of state officers seeking Provisional Certification in Colorado
- Colorado certified peace officers who have not been employed as a peace officer for 6 months within the last 3 years

The Western Colorado Peace Officers Academy will be holding a Refresher Academy from June 4th to June 16th, 2012. Our class size is limited to 20 students. The price is $1500 with housing or $1300 without housing. This price includes all instruction, facilities, manuals, ammunition, use of academy handguns, duty gear, two academy t-shirts, and the P.O.S.T. exam fee. Students will need to obtain the most current edition of the Colorado Peace Officer’s Handbook, which is available at the Colorado Mesa University bookstore (970-248-1422) or online. Training includes all of the required P.O.S.T courses of Driving, Firearms, Arrest Control Techniques, and exam preparation.
