Peace Officer Training Program

Colorado Senate Bill 03-103 created a funding opportunity to provide regular quality training programs to POST. Certified peace officers as described in CRS § 16-2.5-102. Colorado law enforcement agencies, POST Regional Training Planning Groups, and training providers may seek and receive financial assistance for their training programs through the provisions and intent of this bill. The Colorado POST Board, as administrated by the Attorney General’s Office, has developed a process for equitably allocating about $1,800,000 annually.
