Classified positions are covered by the state personnel system and include positions such as legal assistants, criminal and compliance investigators, various professional positions, and administrative support positions. Classified positions receive competitive benefits, including health, dental, disability, life insurance, retirement, and paid vacation, sick and holiday leave. Employment with the Department of Law is contingent upon passing a thorough background check.
