This course will focus on how issues of poverty, isolation, and stigma in seeking assistance prevent some older adults from getting the care and nutrition they need.  Health implications and the challenge to our health care system are also covered.  Law enforcement and Adult Protective Services programs will benefit from learning about the health risks of poor nutrition and how to guide people to the appropriate organization for assistance.
