DENVER – Attorney General John Suthers today announced a settlement between the Colorado Board of Medical Examiners and Denise Crute, M.D., a Pueblo neurosurgeon accused of violating the Colorado Medical Practice Act. DENVER – Attorney General John Suthers today released his office’s legal conclusions concerning the impact the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision, Gonzales, et al. V. Raich, et al (03-1454) on the Colorado constitutional amendment to operate a medical marijuana program.
The Attorney General’s Office found that the Raich decision, which ruled federal authorities can prosecute people for use and possession of marijuana, does not directly impact the viability of the Colorado constitutional amendment or the enabling statute allowing the program.

DENVER – Attorney General John Suthers today announced that Aurora resident Louis Warren was sentenced in Jefferson County District Court to twenty-nine years in prison for his role in fraudulently obtaining and using fifty-seven credit cards. His accomplice, Juliet Warren, 35, was indicted and received a prison term of seventeen years in April.
Attorney General John Suthers Announces Settlement with Leasing Companies in Telecommunicaiton Equipment Controversy -- 05/26/2005
DENVER – Attorney General John Suthers announced today a multi-state settlement with Lyon Financial Services d/b/a U.S. Bancorp Business Equipment Finance Group (USB), and Wells Fargo Financial Leasing, Inc. (WFFL) in connection with a widespread telecommunications fraud involving NorVergence, Inc., a bankrupt New Jersey-based telephone equipment and service company.
In the settlement, USB, and WFFL will refund or not collect over $15.2 million in rental payments from consumers. Twenty states as well as the District of Columbia participated.
