Englewood Man Sentenced in Stock Scam

DENVER - Gerald Milner was sentenced on Wednesday in Arapahoe District Court for defrauding four Colorado investors of $87,000 in connection with his computer technology companies, announced Colorado Attorney General John W. Suthers, and Colorado Securities Commissioner Fred J. Joseph.

Arapahoe County Judge Michael Spears ordered Milner, age 33, to pay back the $87,000 that he admitted to taking as part of his investment scam, and to spend his first 90 days of five years probation in the county jail.  

Internet Safety Legislation Passes House Judiciary With 11-0 Vote

DENVER - Following the passage of HB-1011 in House Judiciary by a vote of 11-0, Attorney John Suthers issued the following statement:

“Today’s vote is a step forward in providing better protection for our children online,” said Suthers. “Thanks to the Judiciary Committee and the work of Sen. Paula Sandoval and Rep. Bob McCluskey, we’re one step closer to giving law enforcement the additional tools they need to prevent Internet predators from preying on our children.”

Attorney General Suthers Announces Participation in Landmark Agreement with Philip Morris USA to Reduce Illegal Internet Cigarette Sales

DENVER - Attorney General John Suthers announced today that Philip Morris USA (“PM USA”) has agreed to incorporate protocols aimed at combating the illegal sale of PM USA cigarettes over the Internet and through the mail. The protocols are being adopted voluntarily by PM USA pursuant to an agreement reached with 37 Attorneys General across the country.[1]
