Following press conference, Attorney General Suthers to testify in support of mortgage and foreclosure fraud legislation

INFO ON MORTGAGE/ FORECLOSURE FRAUD
At approximately 2 PM, following the press conference Attorney General Suthers will testify in support of SB 71, sponsored by Rep. Tom Massey (R-Poncha Springs) and Sen. Jennifer Veiga (D-Denver), which will provide measures to protect consumers from mortgage and foreclosure fraud. The hearing will be held in Senate Committee Room 354.
In July 2005, Attorney General Suthers convened a Mortgage and Foreclosure Task Force and charged the group with, among other things, developing legislative proposals. Further information on the efforts of this Task Force, can be found at: http://www.ago.state.co.us/press_detail.cfm?pressID=742
