DENVER – Attorney General John Suthers today announced the settlement of a civil law enforcement action against drug company Barr Pharmaceuticals. Colorado will receive a civil penalty of $100,000 – the maximum allowed by state law – as well as $200,000 in attorneys’ fees for its position as the lead state in the lawsuit.

DENVER – Colorado Attorney General John Suthers will be in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday to testify before the United States Senate Committee on Rules and Administration, chaired by Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-California). Suthers will deliver testimony to the committee as it holds a hearing on the subject of Protecting Voters at Home and at the Polls: Limiting Abusive Robocalls and Vote Caging Practices. His testimony will discuss developments since the enactment of “no-call” laws and assert that, because of political robocalls, no-call laws have lost much of their beneficial effect.
Attorney General Suthers Files Consumer Protection Suit Against Legal Aid Company -- 02/08/2008

Suthers today announced that his office filed a consumer fraud lawsuit on January 29, 2008, against Legal Aid National Services, Inc., commonly known as The LANS Corp. (http://www.thelanscorp.org/). Also named in the lawsuit are LANS founder and president Kendrick E. White (DOB 12/05/1957), White’s wife Jasmine Ewing (DOB 10/30/1972), and White’s half-brother Derrich E. Attorney General Suthers Announces Indictment In Price-Swapping Scheme -- 02/05/2008
DENVER) – Colorado Attorney General John W. Suthers today announced that Robert P. Herrle II (DOB 02/28/1968) of Englewood has been indicted by a statewide grand jury for his role in a price-tag swapping scheme involving high-end electronics.
Herrle was indicted on 42 counts, including theft, forgery, and computer crimes. The indictment alleges that between May 1, 2006, and April 30, 2007, Herrle allegedly defrauded local Sam’s Club and Best Buy stores out of more than $15,000 in Bose electronics.
