DENVER — Colorado Attorney General John Suthers issued the following statement concerning the departure of Chief Counsel Trey Rogers from the Governor’s Office:

“The Office of the Attorney General and the Governor’s legal counsel work closely together on numerous issues affecting the state of Colorado. Throughout his tenure, Mr. Rogers has had an excellent working relationship with my office. He and his staff have been cordial and professional even in those instances when our offices disagreed on the issues,” Suthers said. “I have nothing but the utmost respect for Mr. Rogers and I wish him success as he returns to private practice. We look forward to continuing to have a strong working relationship with Mr. Roger’s successor, Craig Welling.”
