DENVER — Colorado Attorney General John Suthers congratulated First Assistant Attorney General Harry Morrow who has been awarded the Mark E. May Professionalism Award, which honors an attorney who practices in the field of eminent domain and exhibits excellent professionalism.
“This award should come as no surprise to anyone who knows Harry and is familiar with the caliber of his work,” Suthers said. “Harry, who has built a distinguished record of being a highly professional and ethical attorney, has done excellent work for the people of Colorado and his client agencies during his 22 years with the Colorado Department of Law.”
Morrow heads the office’s Transportation Unit, which provides legal counsel to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
The award was created last year in the memory of May, an attorney who actively practiced in the field of eminent domain since the early 1980s, who died at the age of 52 in 2009. May started working on eminent domain cases as an attorney with the Office of the Attorney General before practicing eminent domain law in the private sector.
