DENVER — Colorado Attorney General John Suthers announced today that a Pueblo County District Court judge sentenced Thomas K. Tienda to four years in the Department of Corrections after his demolition of a Pueblo house led to the airborne release of asbestos. A Pueblo jury convicted Tienda of eight felonies.

The Gathering Place is a shelter located in Denver that provides services to women and their children experiencing issues with homelessness and poverty. Jenkins also pled guilty to theft a class two misdemeanor.

DENVER—The Colorado Natural Resource Damages Trustees have awarded $10,150,000 in funding for 11 conservation projects in the vicinity of the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge. The projects encompass more than 800 acres and are expected to leverage another $31 million in additional funding to build a regional, integrated greenway and open space network.
McKesson to Pay Colorado more than $3.5 Million Resolving Abuses of Inflated Pricing for Prescription Drugs -- 07/27/2012
DENVER—Attorney General John Suthers announced today that Colorado, as part of a national settlement against the McKesson Corporation (NYSE: MCK), the largest pharmaceutical distributor in North America that distributes one-third of the medicines used every day, has resolved allegations that McKesson violated the Federal False Claims Act and various state false claims acts. By reporting inflated pricing data for a large number of prescription drugs, McKesson caused the state’s Medicaid program to overpay for those drugs.
